I haven't been blogging for a while, I know. And with mone and andi on holiday, I should really be posting something. Just something - it could be anything! well, anything it is: this is a picture of my entire room, and I spend most of the day in it.

Krautfleckerl for Gabi

Gabi, this is especially for you!!!
#1: special noodles called "Fleckerl"
#2: ingredients: Fleckerl, onion, bacon, cabbage, caraway, salt, pepper
#3: cut everything
#4: roast onion and bacon..then add cabbage and roast it for a few minutes
#5: flavour with salt, pepper and caraway
#6: add some water and let the cabbage become soft
#7: in the meantime cook the Fleckerl. Then add them!
#8: tatatatataaaaa....voilà!!!! looks ugly, tastes good!!

munich part 2

again, munich! Tag der offenen Tür at the film university of munich.

friday, arrival day in bavaria. quite scary hotel monaco turned out to be nice and sara and me quickly decided who owns which side of the bed.. we're just used to that sort of stuff! first walk to stadtcafé (yipee!!) to have food and cake and coffee and everything.... OLLES! even the cuckoo watch and brezn painting! on saturday presentations from the film uni from 9 to 5.. actually till 6:30.. phrases of the day: komilitonen, "we want the best", "full time studies", "9 hours a day lectures - afterwards project work", "be yourself", "but be good"... herrje! we were totally gone afterwards! Just ended up having thai-food take away in bed.. ähm.. Sunday was calm. late breakfast with the baby who mistook the leg of an american guy for his dad.. then the walk to the residenz.. which we couldn't enter.. Where is the damn entrance?? back to our beloved cave called stadtcafé!! and we even visited stadtmuseum to see Thomas Hoepkers photographies.. man, culture all over! and again,... we were freeeeeeeeeeeeeezing!!

Could it really be that after angst, dachshund, fest and gestalt ... I discovered a new Germanism? That's ubercool.

all disco dancing must end in broken bones

after yesterday I ask myself what would have happened if I was young in the 70s..... but as simone says: "waun mei tante a zü*** häd, daun warads mei onkö!".. so..no more speculations about me being a groovy-saturday-night-fever-chick!
Reality is... yesterday Julia and me were right in the middle of a orpheum-full 70s universe...the bad powells birthday party. Streetlife, I will survive, son of a preacher man, proud mary... songs you can't just listen...shake shake shake...dadaddadaa....shake shake shake....shake your booties!! And that's what we did!
I had 2 sentimental emotional releases: one when Harry A Hammer (HPRC) entered the stage

(please listen to the hot pants road club song "something special"

and when Harry sings "I can't even find the words for you darling,

would you please give me one more try to tell you what I'm feeling inside"

you will know that this is the best sung line of all lines ever!)

and the second at the kitschy and a bit cheesy final song "We are the world".
so, friday the 13th was the best day of greenland week so far... in the end I catched 4 last public transport vehicles in the last minute - 94a, U1, U3, U6... yes it's a "broader weg" from the 70s back to reality!

Above all the name makes me think about my plans for the evening... it's Discoooooooo time, saturday night fever, kung fu fighting, whatever. Me julie and me are going to the Orpheum watching the bad powells ... one crazy 70s crowd!!! Well...maybe...

What about artsyfartsy in Greenland? Popular tourist souvenirs with a creepy background:

Originally the tupilak was a creature composed of different materials from the natural world – animal, bird, human remains. Those who knew about witchcraft tied them together, chanted magic spells over them and allowed them to suck the energy from their own sexual organs.

The tupilak was then ready to be put into the sea and sent off to kill an enemy. If it was designed as a seal it ment: You should drown! a bear ment: He will tear you apart!

let me introduce to you --- Kalaallit Nunaat

wow, i am definitely amazed! greenland, or Kalaallit Nunaat(Country of the people) is ... well... surprising. The language is one hell of a weird arrangement of letters, and they eat stuff we wouldn't... but.. here we go, some pictures to begin the "greenland week".
#1: Good old saint Hans Egede. Norwegian Lutheran Missionary who decided to bring back christian stories to "a green land" once explored by the vikings. Date of landing: 3.July 1721.
#2: Living the nordic life in Nuuk, the capital. Either a family house, or a cubic cell in one of the lovely blocks.
#3: the greenlandic chicks! hossa...
#4: eastern greenland's landscape
#5: a greenlander. dog sledge is a popular way to go from glacier A to glacier B.
#6: the musk ox... Moschus ist die Bezeichnung für ein Drüsen-Sekret. Bis zu 30 g Sekret befindet sich in einer walnussgroßen Drüse am Bauch des Hirsches vor den Geschlechtsorganen. Zur Gewinnung des Moschus wird dem erlegten Tier die Drüse entfernt und getrocknet, wobei die ursprünglich salbenartige rotbraune Masse schwarz und körnig-pulvrig wird. Ähnliche Substanzen finden sich auch in der Bisamratte und Zibet-Katze.

this week is greenland week. Today I noticed that I know exactly nothing about this state. I don't even know if there are people living there? what is the capital? Simone doesn't know either.... so we assumed that greenland is a thing people generally don't know very well....soooo it's time for education blogging!!!!

andi and me just challenged time to be the first smart ass who finished the sudoko... nooooo, not just for fun - BUT to win 2 robbie williams tickets from "oh so kind" oeh-wu... so it is all very exciting now and we will let you know if the two brains won!!

hidden treasures - guilty pleasures

angefangen hat alles mit einer schnapsen - karten partie von andi und mir. Dann kam sev und giorgio und dann noch ins bricksi bricksi zum tanzi tanzi wie das der herr mit dem oberösterreichischen nachnamen so sagt. zuest große selbstzweifel meinerseits. dann getanze zu marianne mendt und giorgios lieblingsliedern. leider wollte mit dem magistratsangestellten von der MA23 keiner tanzen, obwohl der doch die Zukunft schon mit NLP programmiert hat und die wiaschtlfrau ned fragen wollte weil er so oft da ist. jo mei! der taxi fahrer wies uns dezent auf den "leckeren pflug" des "süßen unimogs" hin, der neben uns an der kreuzung standt. panik!!
heute die magd von heiligenblut gekuckt und neue schimpfwörter gelernt: du depperte gamshaut und: du damischer gimpel.
