Adiós

So, this was the Christmas Break 2006 in Austria! It was so good to see all my friends again, and they made these two weeks a very very nice thing! Together with all the love from my mum and mi padre and all the hugs I gave my dog... The party in Vienna, the pre-christmas stress in Linz, my butcher cousins and the amazing 23rd!!!And today, the last evening in Austria it started snowing! BEAUTIFUL!

I can't believe that I don't know where I am going to see Martina again.. and when.. but I take you with me, meine griechische Sirene :)

As soon as Schorsch can handle either skype or msn (or both) I can even "interact" with the least technical advanced friend of mine and it is all good then. And that's the weather forecast for Sevilla.. hehe

At the moment I am watching a TV program about Christmas during World War II.. hm.. Yeahy! :(

My mum asked me when I will start thinking about getting a "real" job, yesterday she told me that I gained weight and today not even my dog wanted to pose with me for a christmas-card-picture for my family...

Thanks May, Maija, Mone and Andi

Thanks May

I'm back in Austria again and I had two phantastic weeks in London. And one great, great week in Seville. It has been so cool to come back and see everybody again. Thanks May for having me at your place, you've taken so good care of me, it's unbelievable!!!!!!! I hope I'll see you soooon. And thanks to Maija, who let me stay at her's when May's Dad kicked me out (due to space problems, of course)
I've had a very cool holiday and it was Mone who really started it off. She picked me up from the airport in Seville so that I wouldn't get lost in the land of crazy Spanishness and it now seems as if I didn't stop laughing for a week. It was great to spend time with Mone and Andi, I think I anti-aged at least 6 months in the company of my two old school friends.
But I'll finish my thank you speech now and just want to let you know that I'm very happy at the moment.

you name it!

while starting my excessive spanish vocabulary training (..AGAIN) ... I found out that a "Rebeca" is a cardigan and a "Marco" a picture frame.. hm.. a "Julia" is some sort of fish, a guy called "Timo" is a crook and a "Simón" is a horse carriage.. wow.. is it really that easy?

I owe a detailed description of Tuesdays' comedy performance, but I can't tell I'm afraid, not in public anyways. Just so much: I got picked on by David Hoyle, the "performer" (but just a little bit). The topic was on the Sex Trade in Britain featuring a real sex worker a.k.a. a call boy who came out at the age of 47, after raising two children and getting married. I'm still very surprised about how difficult it is to be gay. It's such a big issue, why? But, it's not my problem.
I'd rather like to be geeky on exhibit no.A: misspelt signage! I very much like the coffee icon, it's beautiful. And whoever had a go on the typo - we're all having a bad day sometimes, it's just that mine don't come in three meter big signage for everybody to see. (hehe ... Schadenfreude = "pleasure taken from someone else's misfortune." It is sometimes used as a loanword in English and other languages.)

so close.

#1: Simones house

#2: my house

#3: Bar Rodriguez, where we usually hang out a lot and where today we got to know Dennis, an english kitchen chef who told as that #4 is a Bar owned by an Austrian. We enter, we have a beer, Dennis comes in, he presents us to Peter the tyrolian owner. Everything goes very fast. I am a bit confused. I still had not had time to think over the West Side Story performance we saw before in the "Ottensheim" of Sevilla. We first see a Toni Polster Poster. And the second view makes everything clear..

#4 is TONI POLSTERS STAMMBEISL.....AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH... I'm freaking out. Newspaper articles on the wall prove everything. Can't wait to tell my dad and schorsch that the bar toni polster used to party every time he won is about 50 meters from where I sleep. uff. I'm too tired to get it. Will sleep now and go there again tomorrow and see if everything's still there. Toni lass es polstern...

it's been a week

London is cool but that's not it. On first sight I thought I was stupid to leave this city, but after a week I can see the disadvantages of living in such a huge metropolis again: Spending hours on the tube, desperatly trying to avoid the rush hour and masses of people who all seem to be heading towards something that's right behind you.
But there's a very different side as well; When the rubbish bags are starting to take off and keep floating through the air on a windy day in Brick Lane, a girl in a bar is announcing a talk about Arnold Schwarzenegger as part of an art performance, or my friend May is cooking Thai chicken with rice for me, I can't stop thinking what a stragely beautiful place this is. Always something to to do and full with friends.
And tomorrow, I'll go to see a gay art performance in Vauxhall... (I'll keep you posted)

Wedding in spanish

no, Pepé Nacho didn't get married!.. yet! BUT his brother Fernando did so and of course we needed to see that! Saturday, 17:15, raining... nice. after a night of going out till 7:30 it takes quite an effort to reach up to the high level of beauty which always can be found at spanish wedding.. Andi and me combined the hell out of what we could find in our wardrobe and dipped ourselves in a sea of make-up. In the end I think we looked nice.. still the boys looked like real gentlemen, amazing what a suit can do ;-)
Pedro was the royal man in charge of the camera which I think ended up in a 15 minute B-movie showing ourselves, some hot girls and darkness (the latest due to the coverage which he didn't take off 5 out of 6 times).
Another picture and some more can be found, like always, on my flickr account...

Ta da Luf

Back in London, I heard a Hackneyish lady pushing her stroller saying Ta da luf, to her friend as they parted. Also I've been to a jam session asking one of the drummers, what the name of the band was *embarrassment please* (I asked him twice, because he didn't answer it at first.) Then I've seen the new Bond movie and don't no one not tell me they didn't like it. Everybody who doesn't like seeing a naked fit man being tied to a chair, obviously isn't into bondage. (Not that I am, no) I didn't like the scene that followed though and the fact that Bond's blond! Other than that, it was a perfect 3 hour hollywood cinema experience. That's for now, Ta da Lufs!
