1-2-3-4, Sevilla mi amor

#1: LA MAESTRANAZA - full of people shouting and throwing things. Verena, Simo and me on the cheapest 1-cubic-centimeter-seats admiring the heroes of Spain.

#2: one short trip to CARMONA: a small village near Sevilla known by: a roman graveyard and good food. The roman graveyard was closed and we had lunch in the crappiest bar ever.. hmm...

#3: Tuesday is PARTYNIGHT: with good old Pedro and our new flatmate Jarrod. More on flickr.

#4: OUR BAR was closed when we wanted to have one last beer last night.

I am crying.. at the university of Sevilla, while I click through the pages of Cayetanos webpage.. Cayetano?? wow... he is the brother of Francisco who is a Matador, a Torero. And he is BEAUTIFUL, GUAPO, UN MONO.. he is my new star! BUT I also saw him real life on Sunday, when we were watching the bullfight in Sevilla.. YES, bullfight.. His brother, Francisco Rivera Ordonez and 2 other Toreros fought 6 bulls.. Of course we informed ourselves before the big day, through reading Hola and watching bullfights on TV. The fight was not so good, just on Torero got an ear and Francisco sucked.. or rather the bulls sucked.. The president even changed the fourth bull, because it just would want to fight the red cloth.. if this happends, they bring in 6 or 8 cows to attract the bull and get him out.. jaja.. so pictures are on my and andi's flickr account and a videos (1 and 2) from Francisco are on my youtube.. I will keep on reading...

Kite obsession

I am back in Sevilla, but I lost my voice in Tarifa. no more talking for me :(
¡Wow! what a pre-weekendtrip to the coast of Cadiz. On Wednesday I met Verena x 2 in Conil, which is a really lovely place! We had great Tapas in the evening, Ron con Miel, a Mojito.. all perfect. In the afternoon we spent some time at the beach trying not to eat tons of sand, which hits your total body with an amazing speed.. feels like being tatooed (no, didn´t get a tatoo..) and when you go to have a swim you need to dig out your towel afterwards.. the perfect beach for my dad! Next day we hopped onto the bus to Tarifa. Of course all dressed in Quicksilver, El niño and Billabong.. There we met Austrians... (1 kitesurfer and 2 from Burgenland .. hihi) and while we were waiting for our bus back to Sevilla, we chilled with THE surf-cracks.. Jesus! they live a life.. pff. 6 months in Tarifa, 6 months Sout America.. nice, no? well.. for a video-impression klick here and scroll down to "videos" and watch the Playa Chicas spot.. huiije!

Jesús, I´m coming!!!

ladies and gents... I am back. The last two weeks were kind of hard for me cause I had to search a new flat again which isn´t the easiest thing to do when 2000 erasmus-orgasmus-americans try to do the same and you feel like begging for a room you don´t want anyways.... But I was lucky and from October 1st on I´ll be living with Jesús in a flat I haven´t seen yet...aaaaaah.. kind of crazy and stupid, I know. but anyways he seems to be a good guy and his birthday is on the 24th of december - what could go wrong then??? well he is a jazz-guitar-player... maybe that could be a problem ;-) So, I´ll just leave my sorrows at home and go out tonight, as I did yesterday and the day before and the weeks before... jajajaja...

Are you from Estonia?

I was traveling by myself when I went to Washington last weekend. But I had pretty much fun (with myself) in the capital of the US. I arrived in the late afternoon and despite some hostel problems, I had enough time to go to Georgetown to see a pretty, kitchy sunset and have some Ben&Jerry ice cream (cookie dough's the best). On my way back to the hostel, I met the owner of a record shop (we met inside the very same) and he was quite surprised that I'm not from Estonia, because I had my Olympia in Tallin Button on my bag. We went on talking about good old Russia and Berlin and many sentences started with "When I was in ..." A well traveled guy that was. Then one evening at the fruit bar I met two girls, who are working as producers. One of them told me this story about a film she produced it was called " the grizzly man". A documentary about a guy who spent his summers living in Alaska with the bears. He loved them so much that he filmed hours and hours with the bears and himself. So he spent all this time with his beloved bears untill (a few years ago) they killed him and his girlfriend and ate them both. Now that's a story to digest! And on my way home I met an architecture student from Washington who had been living in Vienna for 4 years and we started talking about all the numerous monuments and their stories and we both agreed that the "monument gift" from Japan (cherry trees along Tidal bay) is the best out of all. In general there were so many nice people in Washington, most people greet you in the street and everytime I looked at my map people asked me if I was lost. The only thing that sucks about traveling alone is that it's almost impossible to get a good picture from yourself;) and more pictures from Washington as usual on flickr.

Granada Pics and..

.. new hope in Sevilla! Today my crisis arrived soon after class. Pablo, my beloved stylish waiter, couldn´t offer me the room in his flat because his friend is searching for an apartment too and if he can´t find one he is going to move in with him... DAMN. but 2 hours and 1000 bad thoughts later I found myself in Triana/Los Remedios in a nice flat without cucarachas!! So hope is back again! The Verenas are in town aswell and if you wanna see some pics from Granada check our Andrés´myspace. Hasta pronto amigos!

BANG!

It was all going really really smooth these days! I went to Granada with Andrea and Silvia to meet Vetsch, Verena and Andrés... Nice city and a afantastic party with dancing to spanish songs and near-death experience in a car.. well. Today things aren´t that smooth. My course is boring as hell and fucking Sevilla Roomates cancelled our flat contract.. actually we had no contract, BECAUSE the phone number this as*?%"$)% gave us was a fax number. So while we tried to phone a hundred times last week, he just thought we are complete idiots and rent the rooms to someone else! Cabrón! So it is all a bit hectic at the moment. All rooms are kind of occupied ebecause of the students who arrive these days.. BUT I phoned Pablo, the schmuule waiter of Alfalfa 10 and I might rent his room tomorrow! so please wish me luck for tomorrow 2 p.m. And wish Andi luck, because you can imagine how pissed she is after movin 2 times already..
The good things for these days is the hot weather (we were freezing in Granada!!), the arrival of the verenas, a statement from my thesis "inspector saying he likes it AND the fact that Pedro and his friends are going to cook for us tonight! So stay tuned and just 2 more days before I am famous -- TV is coming on Wednesday!

Rubik's cubes

It's a secret and the few people who know it can hardly believe it themselves, some say it's only an urban myth, some tell it as a bedtime story, but I know that .... it's the truth!! The island of Manhatten is one gigantic Rubik's cube, that has been shifted a thousand times or more by an evil gambler, so they say. Before the "big shift" the city was a lovely place, everybody knew their neighbors and children and dogs roamed the streets in peace ... until ... it was one hot summer night in July 1802 when the evil gambler came to the city to realise his evil plan. He knew about the very secret construction underneath the city, it was a mechanical emergency evacuation machine that - in case of an emergency - could shift single blocks outside the hazard zone. This is why they had built the city within a grid, so it would be easier to number the blocks. But evil gambler had a much more evil plan for this very city ... he broke into the secret computer station and turned on the machines. And one after each other he started to shift the blocks and after hours of evil shifting no block was where it had been originally. People woke up the next day and found out that their homes had been moved for miles and that their neighbors were gone and some where missing their cats. Nobody could explain what had happened except for some very important people and the president, who knew the truth but of corse, they didn't tell anybody.
But after this day, New York changed. People stopped speaking to their neighbors (it weren't their real neighbors anyway) and started to put their pets on a leash. Big companies Built high story buildings so when the next shift came, their offices wouldn't be scattered all over the city and they invented the hot dog, a soggy sausage that is inseperably squeezed in a squashy bread that nobody would ever want to eat, if it wouldn't remind them of how beautiful it was when everything still sticked together the way it belonged to.

weekend number 3

thanks andi for the artwork here in this collage... you can see nina, josuuu who actually really looks like Keanu Reeves, Pepe Nacho and me in the streets and THE sushi place, with chinese waiters.. Peeeter is a bit out of the center, but we might publish a portrait later on.. YES! So my class should have actually started half an hour agpo.. but silly simone forgot that it starts an hour later today.. due to a MASSIV ARRIVAL of 60 italians (YES!!) and 26 others.. well, no pasa nada. need to leave now.. behind me are people waiting and staring at my screen..till laters..

one hell of a weekend

wow.. it's monday morning and thank god I am slowly calming down from a stressful weekend. stressful because I moved out of my new flat again. or should I call it "Castle of Cucarachas"? Now I know that it can be quite dangerous to open a dishwasher in a new flat. but I was just so excited to have one. finally. after 5 years of dishwashing. Who could have known that I disturbed a huge family of cucarachas? So I spent one afternoon on the sofa, screaming, shaking and watching my flatmate killing those bastards. Reason enough to move out again.

Now I live with Simo again, jajajajaja... in a blue room, with a hot neighbour, and a mysterious locked door in the living room. I won't open it. I just think I have a feeling for localizing bad bad things.

Of course the weekend had also it's very good side... cooking in the village Salteras, meeting Dominik again, and and and.... but as my class starts in a sec I'll turn the word over to Simo...

Simo is staring at him through the reflection of the screen. and she actually looks like a "plastic doll" with her mouth wide open and eyes like a Bambi. ok. now he´s on the toilet. it´s over. puh.
ok. the news I wanted to tell you:
but CUIDADO, it´s in spanish chicos, sisisisiii...

freeky friday

today andi and me may try to cook austrian food in Salteras. Strange isn´t it? well, what can we do. Being the flying cook of Sevilla Country isn´t always an easy job, but hey. That´s life. here on the fourth picture is my spanish class... actually they are all gone home by now.. but.. whatever. Talking about cooking an spanish leads me to me BIG NEWS! I will be on TV! I have my own TV show which will be recorded on September 12th in my flat.. Canal Sur 2 is making a travel show about Austria and I will be representing the country of Sissi, Toni Polster, Granaten and Powidltatschkerl in Sevilla!! Imaginate!! Well, so far the news! yesterday I got molested by two different men on my way home with Silvia.. On touched under my shirt while driving by on a moto, the otherone jumped on me from behind targeting my primary and secundary sexual organs (**** y boobs) with his hands... Pfff.. I used all my autrian swearword, and even some spanish ones.. cabrón!
